It is therefore no wonder that several industry guns turned up last Friday August 4 for a listening session ahead of the release of his new album. Hosted by broadcaster Jay Foley, the event, which came off at the Africa Regent Hotel in Accra, was graced by EIB Network execs Bola Ray and Klaus Von Bakustein, Dr. Duncan, journalist Francis Doku, veteran producer Kwik Action, celebrated video director Big OJ, Happy FM’s Dr. Cann, and a host of other media personnel.
Guests were taken through selected songs from Eboo’s forthcoming project, to seek their opinion on them, and to ultimately choose his comeback single. The joints were mainly founded within island music –the genre Eboo is known for, but it is also important to note that the act also proves superior versatility with his Afrobeat tunes.
Ghana – based Nigerian producer Legacy worked on most of this new album, with Kwik Action producing “Colour of Love”, an infectious reggae tune featuring Rufftown’s Ebony Reigns.
Now a father to twin boys, Eboo is handled by Empire Entertainment. The first single since his resurgence is expected to drop in days.
