Well-known Ghanaian international travel and adventure photographer and filmmaker, Steve Ababio, has sadly passed away.
The family, while keeping the specific cause of death private, shared their profound sorrow.
“It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing to glory of Mr. Steve Ababio on Sunday, 29th December 2024. We will miss him more than words can express.”
To provide an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects, gatherings have been scheduled at the First Love Church, near Trinity Bible Seminary, Vineyard of Engeddi. The scheduled dates are:
- Monday, December 30: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Tuesday, December 31: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Thursday, January 2: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Friday, January 3: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
The family has clarified that visits will take place at this venue and not at his residence.

Steve Ababio was celebrated for his exceptional storytelling through the lens, capturing breathtaking moments from around the globe. His loss marks the end of an era for the photography and filmmaking community.
