On daybreak hitz this morning Hitz 103.9 FM, KMJ interviewed Manifest via phone calls to bombard him with questions in relation to he not stepping up on stage to receive his award when he was been crowned best rapper of the year category/hip-pop song of the year?, whether he was at the auditorium when he was mentioned as the winner of both categories?, was he scared to perform #godMC?, would he be collaborating with Sarkodie anytime soon?, would he behave the same way he did at the VGMAs in case he wins any international awards?, music life and his upcoming project? And hosts of other questions from Ashes and Nathan who were panelists on the show were directed at him.
In response to the questions the panelists asked him on the show, circulating social media buzz and other criticism from other industry players, Manifest had this to clear off his chest; according to him, he performing some few seconds of #godMC was actually planned to be part of his performance, a clear indication he has lots of good songs so he does not need to rely on a “diss song” go give the best of performance. Moving forward he explained why he could not pick up the award by himself, stating it was a long night after his performance and so he decided to free up himself outside the auditorium, which ended him up missing the moments at the auditorium. Most importantly what mattered to him most was seeing his “Mani Fans’ happy about his performance and delivery. Rating his own performance, Manifest thinks he put up an innovative artistry, which has become a topic or subject of discussion. He is in the process of releasing an album, though its ready, he is just planning with his team the appropriate time to outdoor it. As to whether he deserved to be crowned the “best rapper of the year” he asserted; the positive response from the auditorium tells he due deserve it and he is grateful about and also he is sure going to be a subject of discussion from now onwards reasons been that he is going to boost his working ability. Talking of collaborations, Manifest is working on surprising Ghanaians and music lovers with both local and international acts but certain there would not be any possible collaboration with Sarkodie because it’s not part of his plans.
He used the platform to extend his profound gratitude to his for their constant love, support and encouraging him to do better music for their listening pleasure. Manifest during the red carpet interview with Berla Mundi last Saturday night revealed he was more confident and focused on his performance for the night and nothing else. Journalists, Djs, radio presenters, entertainment critiques should be on a look out for an album from Manifest especially the “Mani Fans” anytime soon.
