It was a beautiful day with a cloudy weather after some few downpour, a day that saw the gathering of about 1000 music lovers at the Nkawkaw old lorry station to witness performances from this year’s Eastern region music award nominees.
Stage was set, sound checked and light were all ready by 9:00pm last Saturday night to pave way for the the billed artistes to showcase their Worth.
There were massive performances from artistes like Bhim Nation’s OV, Tee Rhyme, Elly Element, Kofi Byble, Nuru Shabba, Kasiebo, Pentoa, Edicta and many more. It was just amazing when OV stepped on stage, the roaring crowd put on their phone lights whiles the main lights where put out, the crowd kept singing along and cheering her up throughout her entire performance.
There were many exciting moments both on stage and the red carpets with the MC’s controlling the crowd in a pretty interesting manner. DJ Blay also did great by putting the crowd in a booed mode throughout the program.
There were a couple of times when the main lights went off but the patient crowd waited on until the lights were fixed, this tells how the people of Nkawkaw were ready to welcome all the nominees to the town.
The organizers are happy about the turnout and used the opportunity to thank all sponsors and partners who helped make the event a success.
The event that begun at 9:00pm ended at 4:30am the next morning.
