Many artistes and musicians have fallen due to endorsement of various political parties contesting for votes during election year. And its seems popular Ghanaian artiste George Perry Atta-Mensah known better in the entertainment industry as Orkortor Perry has no fears looking at the harm it has caused some of his collogues in the industry due to political party endorsement.
In a recent interview with Benya Fm’s drive time host Asaasewura Kwabena Santana, the “Testimony” hits maker revealed he will take a bold step on the ticket of National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Cape Coast South Constituency in the upcoming elections in 2020. Adding it’s time he
takes up the leadership mantle to rescue the good people of Cape Coast South from the hands of political heads who have done nothing or little to develop Cape Coast. He added that, his political ambition will in no way harm his musical ambition because his fans are always loyal than being too partisan.
Seeing it like some joke, in another radio interview with Dr Spice on Live Entertainment Hall, the “Cape Town Mafia” Orkortor Perry made the same revelation informing the people of Cape Coast South to know how serious he is concerning his political ambitions and not some publicity stunt.
Looks like it wasn’t loud enough, Orkortor Perry boldly announced to his fans on the political step he is about to take whiles performing at the Darling Fm Akwaaba Concert at Victoria Park, Cape Coast urging the fans to believe in his vision. Adding his Slogan is “Believe” come 2020.
