MTN Project Fame, West Africa’s biggest music talent hunt competition have come to an end but the memories will surely be etched in the memories of fans and followers of the show.

The air in the Ultima Studios reached a fever pitch, as a large crowd consisting of fans and well-wishers of the contestants as well as music lovers turned out to show their support.

The anchors of the events, Bolanle Olukanni and Joseph Benjamin were not left out of all the excitement, as they were both dressed to the nines.

The event started off with a stirring rendition of the classic “Hallelujah” by Miss Ige, the voice coach for Project Fame Season Nine. Next was the lovely dance performance by the dance coach for the show, Miss Lovette.

Then the “Super Six” comprising Pere, Kitay, Winner, Okiemute, Dapo and Elizabeth each stormed the stage to thrill the audience performing their best songs from the entire Season Nine.

These performances proved to be crowd pleasers as the audience went wild with each one.

After the performances, it was time for the moment of truth; the announcement of the winner. Winner came sixth and was awarded a cash prize of N500, 000, Dapo was in fifth place and took home a prize of N1m Naira, and Pere came third and left with a N2m cash prize.

While the sixth, fifth and the fourth were announced, multiple award winner; Adekunle Gold entertained the audience with his hits songs.

Kitay came in as the second runner up and was given a prize of N2m Naira and a car and Elizabeth came in as the first runner up and was given N3m and a car.

The crowd went wild as Okiemute was announced winner of the MTN project fame Season 9 and she was given a N5m Naira cash prize, a N20m Naira record deal and an all-expenses paid trip to South Africa.
