Bice Osei Kuffuor, popularly known as Obour has announced his resignation as the Managing Director of Ghana Post, bringing his tenure to an end after over two years in office.
In a statement shared on Facebook on March 12, 2025, Obour expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead Ghana Post, describing his time in office as an “honour and a privilege.” He highlighted the strides made under his leadership, including advancements in digitalization, operational efficiency, brand awareness, and financial sustainability.
“I assumed office as Managing Director of Ghana Post on January 4, 2022, and it has been an honour and a privilege to serve in this role, steering Ghana Post through a transformative phase aimed at repositioning it as a modern, efficient, and customer-centric postal services and logistics provider,” he stated.
The once active musician extended his appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for entrusting him with the role, as well as to his sector minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu, the Board of Directors, and the staff of Ghana Post, whose dedication, he noted, contributed to the company’s progress.

“As I resign from this position to pursue other interests, I wish to express my utmost appreciation to Hon. Ursula Owusu, the Board of Directors, and the hardworking Management and staff of Ghana Post whose dedication and commitment have been instrumental in the progress we have made,” he said.
Looking ahead, Obour expressed confidence that the foundation laid during his tenure would serve as a launchpad for even greater achievements for Ghana Post. He also extended well wishes to the incoming government under President John Dramani Mahama.
“I wish the President H.E John Dramani Mahama and the new administration every success in all their endeavours,” he concluded.
