Nigeria is stacking up Gold medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympics and Paul Kehinde won Gold in style in the 65kg powerlifting competition. Kehinde broke his own world record with a 220 kg lift in the process! 

According to Making of Champions, Kehinde opened his account at 205kg which he cleanly took with ease. China’s Peng Hu who won Silver did so with his best mark of 200kg, while Egypt’s Shaaban Ibrahim got Silver with a his best weight of 193kg.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Esther Onyema has earlier taken Team Nigeria’s medal tally to three after winning silver in the women’s -55kg Powerlifting event on Saturday.
