We can’t remember the last time we looked forward to a new month as much as we’re looking forward to March 2021. We’re being blessed with more good TV entertainment than we could have possibly imagined in March and it has us believing that we must have done something right to deserve a month like this. From BBNaija Lockdown Highlights to Nigerian Idol, if there’s one thing we’re certain about, it’s that there won’t be a single boring moment this March. DStv is making sure of that.

DSTV March

Below is a list of some of the incredibly good things happening on DStv this March!

Golden Globe Awards 2021: On the night of March 1, you can dress up in your finest clothes and pretend you’re at the Golden Globes with some of the biggest actors in the world. Yup. The 78th annual Golden Globe Awards will be airing LIVE on M-Net Movies 1 (channel 105) at 2am and you don’t want to miss any moment of one of the world’s most glamorous events.

BBNaija Lockdown Highlights: To jog our memories ahead of what we, no doubt, know will be an explosive reunion show, MultiChoice will be airing highlights from the BBNaija Lockdown show from March 1 on Africa Magic Urban and Family from 10pm. We are absolutely thrilled for this and can’t wait to see all the drama that will most certainly come with it on social media.

tvN Africa: We literally prayed for this one and it’s finally here! We can’t contain our excitement. Korea’s number 1 entertainment channel, tvN is coming to DStv from the first of March. And you know what this means? An endless supply of K-drama and K-POP! We’re here for it, for all of it!

tvN Africa (channel 134) will be presented in English and include programs with English subtitles and a dedicated drama slot dubbed in English.

Tiger Woods Documentary: A lot has been said and written about Tiger Woods. Now, we get a chance to see an intimate portrait of the man, the legend courtesy of this HBO docuseries which airs on M-Net (channel 101) at 8:30pm on Saturday, March 6. The documentary tells the real story of his road to riches and fame, which led him on to ruin and finally, redemption.

UFC 259: It’s a big fight night on March 7, and we can’t think of a better way to spend our Sunday night. From the heavily anticipated title fight between Nigeria’s very own undefeated middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz to Nunes vs Anderson and Yan vs. Sterling, Sunday night is definitely going to be one for the books. You can upgrade to DStv Compact Plus to catch the live action on SuperSport Action and SuperSport Grandstand.

Champions League: The excitement of the Champions League continues with the second leg of the round of 16 matches starting from March 9. Football fans are in for an eventful month of March as Europe’s top football competition returns with some enthralling match-ups. Barcelona will hope to overturn a 4-1 home defeat to PSG and secure a place in the quarter finals of the competition. Defending champions Bayern will aim to finish off Lazio at the Allianz Arena after an impressive 4-1 away win. Tune in to SuperSport to catch all the action from the 16 games live.

Nigerian Idol: It is officially back and we couldn’t be more excited. We are particularly looking forward to all the downright hilarious moments we’re sure the auditions will bring come March 14. The show proper kicks off on March 28th and we have no doubt that the judges will unearth the next big thing in African music. But before then, we can be sure we’ll be getting an inordinate amount of belly laughs courtesy of the ones who have no business auditioning for a talent show. You can catch all the OMG Moments from the auditions starting March 14 on DStv channel 198 & GOtv channel 29, and the main show starting March 28 on Africa Magic Showcase, Urban and Family channels.

The DStv Step Up offer is still very much on. Customers on the Yanga package can pay N4,615 for Confam package and then get a boost to view on the next higher package, Compact; while customers on the Confam package can pay N7,900 for Compact and instead view Compact Plus package programming. Likewise, Compact customers only pay N12,400 for Compact Plus package and in turn get Premium package worth N18,400 per month. That’s a deal you shouldn’t sleep on!
