Budding Ghanaian Afropop/Soul Singer, Kafui Chordz, has issued a rejoinder following a latest publication done on her in Graphic Showbiz. Below was what she posted from her Facebook page a while ago and was captured by BeenieWords.com.

Below it reads (UNEDITED):

“Few days ago, a journalist from Graphic Showbiz, one of the well respected media houses contacted me for a feature in their newspaper. She requested for my photo against the story she willingly wanted to do for me. As it would have it, I thought she would revert with me and have me review the story before publication but unfortunately that didn’t come through. Not to undermine her efforts/job, the story came out in today’s edition; but reading through what was published, the direction of the story didn’t quite represent my brand as many of the things written about me in there weren’t my words or intentions and misrepresented me. For future purposes, I need to put word out — not to chastise the journalist or the newspaper company — but to make it clear and open that it doesn’t favour my brand as a budding act. I would be grateful if a more refined one is published about me or the journalist/outfit would have me Review the feature about me before it gets published again (if they would do so). But if another won’t be done, I would respectfully want to make it clear that those were not my very own words and would apologize to my fans who might have taken those as my own words. I respect every journalist and every media house. If it’s a feature story about me, I believe I would have been interviewed or have questionnaires( which was the initial plan) sent through so I can lay claim to those as my very own words.
And to the journalist, I know you meant well..I AM GRATEFUL. I’m sorry if I let anyone down. Thanks for the support and for understanding me on this.”
