Koo Ntakra is a hiplife and hip hop artist from Ghana who raps in his mother tongue of Akuapem, He is considered to many as one of the most ‘multifaceted young rapper’ due to his versatility in the music circles.
He tells Stories of Life through Music, a winner of MTN Ghana Hitmaker Season 2 who is currently signed to KN Records, a member of Powase Music based on the Aburi – Akuapem mountains of Eastern region, Ghana.
He is considered one of the major proponents of the ‘Akuapem Rap’. Koo Ntakra soared to the lime light after being crowned the Champion of the annual ‘MTN Hitmaker Reality TV music contest, beating over thousands who entered into the competition in 2013.
In 2013, after winning the reality show, he was billed on stage for the annual ‘Legends & Legacy’ Concept which celebrated high life Legend AB Crentsil. Koo went on that year to record with Nigeria based artiste WondaBoy, which featured on his debut album, Akuaba.
His collaborations with top artists and performances gained his opportunity to share the same stage with international arts including; Davido, WizBoy & WondaBoy from Nigeria, as well as Sarkodie, Samini, D-Black, Shatta Wale and much more from Ghana.
In November 2014, Koo Ntakra officially released his first studio album, titled ‘AKUABA’ (Priceless).
