The MOBO Awards, one of the biggest music awards ceremonies in the UK, has announced nominees for this year and the Best African Act category is lit – as some of the most loved newcomers take on the old folks.

Fuse ODG who has won the category back to back in the last three editions is absent this year. The nominees include Mr Eazi, Wizkid, Moelogo, Tekno Miles,Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Olamide, Mista, Silva, Eugy, and Kwamz & Flava. This category will be reduced to 5 final nominees on October 17.
On Friday, 4 November, some of the biggest and best names in urban music will descend to Glasgow’s SSE Hydro for a night of glitz and glamour, not to mention live performances from Chase and Status and more.

The last time the MOBO Awards were held in Glasgow was in 2013, attracting more than 100,000 music fans – and this year’s ceremony is set to be bigger than ever.
