Tekno headlines the crop of home-based artistes who are currently smashing borders, taking Nigerian music to the world.
Recently, the Pana singer performed at a concert in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and he shut down the event. Information online revealed that fans paid 250,000Le (approx. N14,000) for tickets to watch the singer perform on Friday, and today – Saturday.
As expected, the event centre was chocked full of excited fans, and things reached a fevered peak when a female fan hauled herself onto the stage and collapsed feet away from the singer.
On many occasions, we have seen artistes who violently attack their over-excited fans, but Tekno did differently; he held this young female and she came to.
This, surely, has earned him more fans as folks are impressed with his reaction.
