Nigerians on social media were given a new topic to chew on when music legend, Innocent Idibia aka 2Baba publicly declared his love for Honourable Natasha Osawaru.
The singer in a post on Wednesday stated his intention to marry her and this is coming amid his ongoing divorce saga from his wife, Annie Idibia.
This of course came as a surprise to some as not many people expected him to come publicly to confirm the rumours that had been spreading since the singer announced he and Annie were no longer together.
So, who exactly is Natasha Osawaru?
Honourable Natasha Osawaru is a notable Nigerian politician and lawyer. Born in 1993, she hails from Edo State and is the granddaughter of billionaire businessman, Gabriel Igbinidion. Her parents are Desmond and Philomina Osawaru.
Natasha Osawaru graduated from Igbinedion University where she studied law. She also holds a Master’s degree in Film Production from Full Sail University in Florida.
Natasha is no small name in Edo Politics. The 31-year-old currently represents the Egor constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly. She is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has already gained some respect for her outstanding performance in the legislature.
Before politics, Natasha was a strong advocate for youth and women development. She has over the years used her position to advocate for policies that promote economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development for Edo state and Nigeria.
Natasha Osawaru and 2Baba relationship rumours
It actually all started out as a rumour which was even debunked at some point.
When 2Baba announced he and Annie Macaulay were getting divorced, there were rumours that he was already dating Natasha. Her spokesperson, however debunked this at the time noting that the rumours were “false and baseless” and “fallacy at its peak” according to a report by Vanguard.
But then, the rumours gained substance when the singer showed up at the Edo State Assembly on Monday.
Natasha and 2Baba marriage plans?
To put everyone’s minds at rest, at least with regards to the rumours, 2Baba has now admitted he wants to marry the Edo lawmaker
In a video he shared on social media, the African Queen singer was heard saying, “So, allegedly, I’ve been seeing so many things. So many people coming up with their own false narratives, false talk, and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff.
“And I posted it, yes — any person wey get brain go understand. But for all the people who have been saying different stuff that don’t have an absolute clue about what’s going on, I hail you people. Your life is perfect, very right.”
Tubaba also used the opportunity to clarify that Natasha Osawaru had no involvement in his marital issues with Annie.
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker.
“She is a young brilliant amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.
“Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
