Building on previous announcement of his debut studio album, uprising R&B artiste Jasën Blu decided to bless the ears of his growing bunch of fans and audience with “BluPanda”, an R&B-esque re-treatment of GOOD/Def Jam rapper Desiigner’s multi-platinum single “Panda”, as opposed to an expected original single off his upcoming album. Jasën Blu, who actually has not covered any other artistes’ recordings before “BluPanda” recalled while contacted: “I had to do the jump. There’s something very compelling about the beat, shout out to Menace [UK-based producer of Panda] on a great job. And I haven’t heard anyone sing on the beat, everyone raps on it. So I was in the studio with my boy Daccoustic right, he was playing the beat. I suddenly got really into it enough to write the first verse, he made me record it and the rest is history. At mixing stage it was sounding so insane, I had to announce the jump on my social pages and put it up for free.”

Recorded by Blu’s right-hand man and frequent collaborator Daccoustic, a fast rising record producer, “BluPanda” paints a very unique picture of the monstrously popular song (which already went triple-platinum according to the RIAA) with a particular allusion to Blu’s home city of Akure (freshly street-named Shynetown if you are checking).

Blu (again said, an R&B artiste) kick bars and rhymes hard enough to put his rap music counterparts on an uncomfortable edge before switching back aggressively to his own lane in what might be the first (if not the only) R&B version of the highly infectious song, while maintaining his momentum on his incoming project, the details of which he appears to keep so elusive at this time.
