The United Bank for Africa (Ghana) Limited made the presentation on Tuesday, May 30 to Mr Mensah of the Madina Business office.
Mensah who was visibly excited, was accompanied to his new house in East Legon, Accra, by his wife, three children, brother and well-wishers. He was full of praises to the management of UBA for staying true to their words and delivering the house in good time.
He said, “I have seen and heard of many loyalty promotions but I never believed or participated in any of them; I only concentrated on my normal savings which I felt I should do for my children’s future; but little did I know I would emerge the ultimate winner”.
Continuing, he said “Together with my family, we are so excited about the beauty of the house and vicinity. I encourage all of us here to develop the habit of saving. UBA is a bank with utmost integrity and I recommend the bank to everyone” Mensah said.
The Awoof loyalty promotion is part of sustenance strategies undertaken by the bank to celebrate its customers and commemorate its 10 years of service in Ghana.
Over 100 customers of the bank across the country were presented with various prizes during the duration of the promo, which saw items such as Air conditioners, television sets, online shopping vouchers and GHC60,000 cash prizes doled out by the bank to its teeming customers.
The Managing Director of UBA (Ghana), Mrs. Abiola Bawuah, who was represented at the ceremony by the Head of IT Operations, Mr. Kwame Aduansere, expressed appreciation to the customers and thanked them for their continuous business with the bank. She assured the customers of the bank’s long term plan to grow in Ghana and the duty of care and security of their funds.
“UBA remains committed to the growth of our customers. We are the first, true and only top tier bank that would have given out a 3-bedroom apartment in the vicinity of the most admired east Legon Hills,” she said.
During the period of the campaign, UBA also embarked on various CSR projects including provision of food items and toiletries to various orphanages and needy homes.
