Bystanders have been captivated by the art Osa is creating. It is a commissioned work by the Lagos State Government for the celebration of Lagos at 50. It is a 94 by 14.5 feet stretch of graffiti on the walls of the Lagos Law School bus stop, on the ever so busy Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island.
For Osa Seven, it is a great opportunity to introduce street art to the vast majority of Nigerians, and to change the discernment and stereotypes of graffiti while bringing prominent monuments in Lagos to live in colours.
The graffiti, when complete, would unveil an artistic interpretation of monuments that make Lagos ticks. This includes the National Art Theatre and Aro Meta or Agba Meta (the three white-capped chiefs of Lagos), which is a symbol that welcomes people into the city of Lagos.
The grand commissioning of the work is expected to take place on the 27th of April.
