Kurl Songz set to drop 1st single under Kaywa’s High Spiritual Music label

After the long wait, MTN Hitmaker 2016 winner, Kelvin, is ready to hobnob with the big ‘guns’ in the Ghanaian music industry, and he is ready to be counted as one of the go-to artists in the game.

With a new name – Kurl Songx, the music reality show winner is coming out under a new label, Highly Spiritual Music (HSM), which has the award-winning, highly-revered producer, Kaywa, as its Chief Executive Officer.

Under the management of respected Artist Manager, Franklin Agyekum’s Blaq Standard Management, Kurl is out with a new single, ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ and it features the most venerated Ghanaian artist of all time – Sarkodie.

‘Jennifer Lomotey’ is produced by Kaywa, the 4-time VGMA Producer of the Year, who is responsible for a plethora of hit songs for a multitude of A-list artists including Sarkodie, Kwabena Kwabena Ofori Amponsah, Ohemaa Mercy, Becca, Castro, Buk Bak and many others.

Kaywa puts his quintessential signature on the song, giving it a slow-tempo yet groovy and eclectic touch. Kurl exhibits his vocal dexterity on a song where he professes his love for a certain Jennifer Lomotey – channeling the emotions in a very romantic manner.
Sarkodie’s clarity, wordplay and punchlines in his feature complemented the song to near perfection, making the song a potential hit song for the year.

Kurl Songx won the popular reality music television show, MTN Hitmaker 5 last year, shrugging off tense competition from the likes of F9, Eugene and Sir Tino.
‘Jennifer Lomotey’ is the first official single from the young, budding artist after winning the competition and it is under the aegis of Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music label.
