Kokudé is a new concept in men’s clothing, exploring the intersection between Western and West African fashion, textiles and design. Their first collection, “Attributes of Men,” thoughtfully explores positive attributes of the strong men of integrity appearing throughout our lives.
Kokudé’s three partners, Kofi Laing, Hilbert Kujo Ankomah Gyeni and Dennis Hunter, also skillfully introduce internet retail commerce to Ghana, which is rapidly changing the landscape of global retail as it resolves the obstacles of traffic and time required to patronize a traditional shop.
By allowing clients to shop online from the privacy of their homes, to place orders and make payment through a cellular network and providing clients with free delivery in the Greater Accra area, customers will be delighted with the convenience and ease of incorporating high quality, unique and well-made men’s garments into their wardrobes.
After 20 years in the U.K., Kofi returned to his homeland Ghana to put his creative abilities and extensive marketing experience to use, masterfully creating successful media productions, popular radio hosting on JoyFM, and exceptional design in the fashion industry.
Hilbert Kujo became a master at his craft of tailoring at an early age in Accra, perfecting an incredible focus on fine tailoring. Kujo’s exceptional creativity and attention to detail can be seen in designs worn by Ghana’s celebrities and fashion elite.
Dennis Yaw, born and raised in the U.S., studied Design in the Art Faculty at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. The experience ignited a passion for West African textiles and fashion, culminating in the realization of Kokude´and his relocation to Oyarifa, Ghana.
