King Lagazee begins 2017 with another historic interview with celebrated Jamaican Dancehall Veteran, Red Rat.

Born Wallace Wilson on January 17, 1978, “Red Rat” has been one of the fore-runners for the Ragga/Dancehall culture in the 90s with a huge international appeal with hit songs “Shelly Ann”, “Tight Up Skirt”, “Cruise” among others.

Red Rat’s latest single “Higher” released in the last quarter of 2016 is one of the hottest dancehall jams on the charts.

King Lagazee, host of “Lagazee Soundz International” is an interview with Beenie Words says, “artistes like Red Rat have done a lot for Dancehall music to touch every nook and cranny of this world; he is one of the pace-setters who needs to be well celebrated. As with my platform, we don’t just celebrate these artistes but we try to bridge that gap between them and our new skuul dancehall artistes. I am somebody who champions the soundclash culture here and I find it very necessary to use the veterans to teach the new guys so they can learn the rudiments directly from them. Besides, he is one of the Caribbean artistes who has expressed a lot of interest in performing in Africa so it’s right we start the year with him.”

Also set to join Red Rat on the interview is ace Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall Publicist, Elorm Beenie. The young Artiste PR would delve into issues of Ghanaian Reggae & Dancehall within the just passed year as well as on the international stage. He is one key personnel who has represented and defended the Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall scene in print about 10 years now online. Elorm Beenie is direct Publicist for many Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artistes like Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Samini, Black Prophet, Ras Kuuku, Wan Row, just to name a few.

Show goes live every Sunday between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Hitz 103.9fm, one of Accra’s hottest radio stations set about the capital of Ghana. You can listen to this Reggae/Dancehall magazine online via TuneIn and send your contributions as well.
