Many celebrities have come out to give their own take on Nicki Minaj and Cardi B‘s altercation at the Harper Baazar Icons Party. Many have taken sides, blamimg either party for what happened, but some are suing for peace.
In an interview with E!, Kelly Rowland who actually had a front row seat to see what happened said she loves both Nicki and Cardi but isn’t taking any sides. According to her:
In a time where she [Serena Williams] is fighting for equality, we just can’t be fighting. It’s not time for us women to fight.
Rapper Remy Ma also didn’t point fingers but diverted the attention to the public and fans.
While on Joe Budden’s State Of The Culture show, she said people should stop talking or tweeting crazy. She also said that it wasn’t a fight since no one hit each other or got injured and that the feud should be checked before it got serious. She also blamed fans saying,
As soon as some real shi* happen…where somebody’s in the hospital, somebody shot, somebody stabbed…everyone’s like Oh My God stop the violence but when people say real n***a shi* gangsta shi*…everyone thinks its cool.
Talk show host Wendy Williams also gave her two cents. She said that they both need to be talked to but Nicki won’t listen and they should take female rappers Queen Latifah and MC Lyte as examples.
