Last week’s episode, we see that the couple has decided to go for a therapy session to fix the issues they’ve been dealing with in their relationship. They spend more time together and talk a lot.
Ike has been looking at engagement rings and has finally narrowed down to four designs, he worries that Mercy might say no after all the efforts he has put in. He reveals this to his cousin and friend.
He and Mercy have a zoom therapy session with the therapist and Ike is worried about what could come out of the session. They tell the therapist how rocky their relationship has been, but they would like to work things out.
Ike clearly still has trust issues with Mercy, and she is not very comfortable with it. The therapist encourages them on what they should focus on, which is their individual happiness and how they want their relationship work.
Ike admits that no one is pushing him to stay in the relationship and despite their many issues, her good qualities, the good times they have shared and how they have spent their time is what brings him closer to her. He also admits getting scared of losing her. Mercy on her part wishes Ike would change and start to act like a man. Mercy is happy they had the session while Ike wishes it was a bit longer.
Ike gets Mercy a dog, she says Ike is beginning to act the like the man she wants, and this makes her fall more for him. She has named the dog Chanel. Mercy is so excited she video calls her sister; the dog will be good practice for when they start having kids. She also informs her sister about how the therapy session went.
Ike calls his parents to update them on how he has been spending his time in Nigeria. He talks more about the engagement ring he wants to get Mercy. His mum encourages him to build a relationship with Mercy’s family.
Ike speaks to Pascal, his cousin about doing something new on Instagram, he wants to use his platform to showcase other talented people. He has a large following and he believes it would go a long way to help others by lending his voice through his page.
Ike’s Aunt Cleopatra calls him to get an update about the family meeting with Mercy, he confirms she will be attending. She asks that they fix a date when the meeting will take place. Ike calls Mercy to confirm when the meeting will hold, but she gets defensive and gives conditions on how the meeting should go and what she kind of conversions she would rather have.
