Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey widely known as Kaakie of Xtra Large Music finally launched her maiden album titled ‘KaakitUp’ last night at an event held at the Urbano Hotel in Osu, Accra.
The long wait for the female Dancehall act’s first album came to an end as she unveiled her 20-track album. KaakitUp album features
Sarkodie, Samini, Guru, Yaa Pono and label mate Adi Virgo. Prior to the launch of the KaakitUp album Kaakie has released several tunes off the album and have all had their share of massive airplay. The MCs Trigmatic and Doreen Avioh of Multimedia Group were terrific on the night. The night also saw massive support from fellow artistes and industry players including Samini, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, Ras Kuuku, Bullet of Ruff N Smooth, Ebony Reigns, Lingua Kat and Virgo. There was also a huge media presence.
Although there was the usual “Ghana man time” effect, I must commend the Xtra Large team for a great job done in organizing a well coordinated event.
