Elrad Amoako, The 16-year-old son, was remanded today following a Juvenile Court hearing in Accra related to a recent fatal accident at East Legon.
The court ordered his placement at the Osu Boys Home, with specific instructions for his custody and medical care during the remand period.
As part of his bail conditions, the teenager’s Ghanaian and US passports are to be handed over to the court by Monday, November 4, 2024. On that same day, he will also undergo a medical examination at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), a measure meant to ensure that any health concerns are promptly addressed.
The court further instructed that should any emergency medical issues arise while he is in remand, he is to be transferred to the Police Hospital for immediate treatment. This careful arrangement underscores the court’s intent to maintain both his custody and well-being.
The boy’s next court appearance is set for November 7, when further details surrounding the accident case are expected to be reviewed.
