Nearly three decades after Regina Askia-Williams held the Miss Unilag and Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria titles, her 15-year-old daughter, is following in her footsteps.
The teenage model was one of the 60 girls who took part in the Miss New York Teen USA pageant this past weekend.
She looked like a younger version of her stunning mother in a red dress that flattered her modelesque frame.
And although Tessa who represented Staten Island didn’t win the crown, she finished off a finalist in the beauty contest.
Proud mama, Regina took to Facebook to commend her efforts writing, “Ok so it wasn’t my princess but placement and recognition is not a bad thing. The experience of being in such a major competition counts.”
And to show just how much it counts, she took her to a fancy restaurant for dinner and let her dig into some well deserved steak.
