Jumia Travel has launched the African version of it’s hospitality report at a ceremony in Accra. The report which was compiled together with Accor hotels after many months of research, shares insights into various trends in the hospitality and tourism industries.

Speaking at the event, the country Manager of Jumia Travel Ghana, Omolara Adagunodo said, ‘’The region is expected to attract 64 M international tourist arrivals in 2017, as compared to 58 M in 2016 (+ 8% vs 2015), and 110 M by 2027 which means we have a responsibility to adequately prepare for the challenges that comes with the increasing numbers.”

Among other facts included in this report is that in 2016, the African Union launched a common visa policy including visa-on-arrival for all African citizens.
