Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva reveals how acting love scenes makes her husband uncomfortable
Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva are one of the oldest couples in Nollywood industry. The gorgeous couple walked down the aisle in 1981 and decades later their marriage is waxing strong.
Understandably no one wants to see their spouse kissing another person, even if it’s part of their profession. In a recent interview, veteran actress Joke Silva said her husband and fellow actor, Olu Jacobs is uncomfortable watching her film love scenes.
“In the very early years of Nollywood,” she says, “there was a film I featured in titled The Golden Cage. My love interest in that film was Yomi Layinka. We have a kissing scene in that movie and my husband was the associate director on the film.”
Olu Jacobs may have been the associate director of that movie and well aware of the scene, but he wasn’t too comfortable with it
“When it comes to the kissing scene, he gets so uncomfortable. At the end of the day, we ended up breaking some stuff.”
Nice to see this little incident didn’t break their marriage!
