Paintsil has been charged with four counts of causing harm, offensive conduct, threat of harm, and assault on two police officers at the East Legon Police Station on 24 May 2016.
According to the prosecution Painstil was invited by the East Legon police to answer questions after his wife, Richlove Painstil made alleged that he had stolen her car.
The charge sheet revealed that Paintsil got angry while being interrogated by DSP Emmanuel Basintale and Superintendent William Dzamesi describing them as useless, biased, and did not know their job.
He flared up and punched the police officer. The trial of the case will begin on July 14, 2016.
