Eight Months after revealing on the first episode of the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Lagos that she is not sure she wants to get married again despite confirming a low-key relationship, Iyabo Ojo reveals her boyfriend.
Paul Okoye, a Nigerian event promoter and CEO of Upfront and Personal Global Management, which manages stars Kizz Daniel, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Tekno, Iyanya, and Flavour, amongst others, posted a video confirming his relationship with Iyabo Ojo on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
“I have someone in my life. We’ve been together for a while,” Iyabo Ojo said on the first episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos, which premiered on Friday, April 8, 2022. “He’s a very private person, he doesn’t like the social media life because he feels I’m always attacked on social media, and he doesn’t want social media people, fans and haters, to drag him into it.”
“I don’t think I want to celebrate anybody until probably I’m getting married again, which I don’t know if that’s going to be possible,” she added on the show.
Despite her revelation, she has announced her relationship with Paul Okoye. Are wedding bells about to ring in the Ojo and Okoye’s household?
The Nollywood actress, who turns 45 today, unveiled her relationship while posting images as she celebrates her birthday. For her photo shoot, she wore a baby blue suit set design from Medlin Couture Collection, paired with silver accessories.
Her second photo shoot outfit, designed by Toyin Lawani-Adebayo, is one of her most innovative looks of the year as she was styled in a wavy white dress paired with pearls and a dramatic makeup look.
The divorced mother of two was married to a Lagos-based movie marketer at age 21 before their two-year union ended in 2001, a few months after the birth of their second child. She had attributed their divorce to getting married too early.
