On this week’s episode of Mercy & Ike ‘What’s next?’, Mercy had a housewarming party, Mercy and Ike discuss moving in together and Mercy accuses Ike of having a girlfriend in Owerri. Keep reading to find out every single detail.

Mercy and Ike spoke about living together and what it entails as well as the expectations of the Nigerian society. Ike doesn’t want to be seen as a ‘woman wrapper’ and might need to ask for approval from their families before doing so. Whilst Mercy felt it might not be the right decision for them to make right now. The couple also sought advice from family and friends. Ike spoke to his cousin, Ikechukwu, who felt it is wrong and irresponsible to move in with Mercy, especially when they aren’t married. Mercy also had a conversation with ex BBNaija housemate and friend, Diane and her opinion borders on two things: how Nigerians will feel about it and their families. But, Mercy should do what she feels is right and set her own standards.

We see Ike being ecstatic over the gifts he received from his fans which were delivered by his cousin, Ikechukwu, such as a painting of himself and Mercy as well as a book which contained pictures and quotes from his time on BBNaija S4.

The episode also showed the process in which Mercy and Ike went through in order for Mercy’s homecoming party to be a success. Glory (Mercy’s PA) and Promise (Mercy’s sister) joined in planning the party with the event planner, Ruth, while Ike is joined by his aunty, Cleopatra at his place to assist with arrangements for Mercy’s housewarming party.

Mercy later pays a visit to Ike’s house and joins in on the conversation between Ike and Cleopatra. Eventually, Cleopatra tells Mercy how she called Ike’s other Aunty, Carole to prepare Ugba and Stock Fish for the event. Mercy feared her house would smell due to the meal, however, she was very appreciative that Ike’s family is going all out for her.

Mercy jokingly spoke to Cleopatra about how Ike has a girlfriend in Owerri. Ike seemed to find this funny and explained the girl happened to be in the same section of the club with him. Cleopatra trusts Ike and she knows Mercy trusts him too. Ike mentioned to the viewers he has many female friends and he feels like it can be misinterpreted, and Mercy had no issue as long as he respects her.

The moment you’ve been waiting for, the housewarming party! Mercy was all glammed up by her hair stylist and makeup artist before joining her guests. Amongst the guests were ex BBNaija housemates such as Tuoyo, Diane, Elo and a few others as well as known celebrities.

Despite the fact Mercy was nervous things might not go as planned, the housewarming party seemed to be a success. Mercy was delighted her guests came through to celebrate with her and she got to show off her new home to put the ‘audio house’ conversation to rest. In addition, the party helped establish the bond between Mercy and Ike’s families.

Find out in the next episode why Mercy thinks Ike gave her an STD, what led to Mercy breaking down on TV and why Ike ended their argument with ‘just be lucky you are a fine girl’.
