Lil Kesh was guest on ‘The TakeOver’ show with Moet Abebe on SOundcity Radio 98.5. Y.A.G.I crooner spoke on sundry issues including the Don Jazzy/Olamide situation as well as setting up his own label as well as Olamide’s mentorship and more.
Lil Kesh revealed that his Y.A.G.I’s label imprint was suggested by Boss Olamide.
“My contract ended after 2 years, and even before i decided to float my own label, it has a joint idea between me and olamide.” he said.
He continued, “It was even his own idea from the onset. He told me about 2 years ago, he said ‘yo yo, once your contract ends, I pray to God that by then you’re strong enough to handle yourself financially, i want you to float your label. Lets just try and make the world a better place. there a very few people trying to give other people a platform now, so as i have done for you, it’s only proper that you open your own label, float it and when you’re strong mentally, financially after a year or two, you should also try and put up some artistes, that years from now, they can also put some other guys on” he said
