It was a proud moment for Ghana, when the young business gem was mentioned amongst the speakers for the 21st African Annual Business Conference on 15th and 16th February, 2019 at Harvard University .

The Ghanaian business mogul, Mr Emmanuel Kojo Jones-Mensah, as part of the four panelists gave an insightful presentation on why Real Estate remains a booming business in Africa with all the enormous benefits it comes with.

Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Jones-Mensah, CEO of Empire Domus and the managing director of Empire Concrete speaking at a the conference emphasised
on the need to strategically industrialise Africa to create a more self sufficient and sustainable continent.

He also urged that, since there is an increase in the population of Africa, it will be a great deal, should young entrepreneurs get into the real estate space. He made mention of consulting, management, financial, manufacturing and tertiary opportunities in the real estate sector in Africa.

He gave a reminder about how Ghana is still developing and how important it is to secure its future. In doing this, we can begin by producing and also manufacturing most of the raw materials we use for construction and in other sectors. That will help reduce the high cost of importing building materials and finishes.

He applauded the president of Ghana Nana Akuffo Addo for pushing the “Ghana beyond aid”agenda and says Africa should structure its development towards this agenda.

Kojo Jones also brought to light a few challenges within the Real Estate sphere, as he underlined land litigation and high cost of funding as a major concern.

He also supported other panelists on the need for Africa to accept its challenges and work towards making it a better place.

The business mogul concluded his presentation with an earnest admonition, saying that, we need to create a large market move from just selling natural resources to active industrial activities.
