Rapper Edem has registered his displeasure about the much talked about brawl between 2 Ghanaian Music Icons, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, that marred the 20th edition of the VGMAs.
Edem on GhOne TV’s “Pundit” show on Tuesday night, May 28, 2019 bluntly said he was disappointed in outgoing MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour’s position against the 2 Feuding Acts.
“I was very deposited to see Obour join forces with Charter House against Musicians. You are a Musician yourself so if anything you should be able to stand in for the artistes. But you have neglected the artistes and joined Charter House against them. I’m not saying what the artistes did was right but as a representative of musicians, you should be able to stand in for them and defend them. These are some of the highs that happen at MUSIGA and Musicians don’t see the need to join the Association,” Edem fumed.
“I am not saying what happened on the night was right; it’s not right,” Edem added.
He also maintained if he were both sanctioned artistes, (Stone & Shatta Wale), he wouldn’t return the plaques because they were voted for by the resources of fans of both artistes.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale after their Herculean encounter on May 18 at the Vodafone GHANA Music Awards have both been slapped with a GHC 50,000 fine (each) by the court last week. They have also been banned from partaking in the awards indefinitely and asked to return their award plaques won on the night.
