Prolific Rapper, Teephlow, says he has proved best than any other within the year 2017 in the rap game and says he best deserves wins in his nominated slots in the VGMA 2018 listings.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central’s Drive Show, the renowned rapper from Cape Coast said, “This is not about me boasting or bragging, I need to pick that award, no one in that category raps better than me. Go and listen to my song Phlowducation and you will know why”.
Commenting further on his nominations, he he says, “I am glad a lot of recognition has been given, not just me, but many of my other young musicians because we’ve all worked really hard last year (2017); and it’s a great feeling to be given that recognition.”
For my expectations, I don’t expect anything than winning all my slots. And also I want ghana to pay more attention to my power song ‘State Of The Arts’ (SoA), the lyrics in that song should be something we all need to pay attention to so we can correct the wrongs and steer our industry in the right direction,” Teephlow stressed.
“Not the first time I’m being nominated though. I was once nominated for best music video for my collaboration with Sarkodie on the ‘Warning’ produced by Da Hammer, directed by Gyo Gyimah of Phamous Philms,” he added.
Teephlow urged his fans to vote for him to win his categories. He released his “Phlowducation” Album EP, a strictly rap album last year that got a lot of traction from industry and music lovers. The album featured Edem, Flowking Stone, Worlasi, Epixode, bigBen, Novo among others.
“Phlowducation” has been the 4th highest selling album on Aftown.com consistently for 10 weeks.
He was nominated for “Best Rapper of the Year”, “Songwriter of the Year”, “Record of the Year”, and “Best Hiphop Song of the Year”.
He won “Best Rapper of the Year” at Central Music Awards 2017.
