Wilberforce Zontoh, Ghanaian International Reggae Singer, known as “Black Prophet” bluntly disclosed on Ahomka Radio UK in London that, he doesn’t need a Grammy award.

“I don’t need a Grammy. I will rather widen my scope and be known more globally and play big shows than chase a Grammy. I want my music to touch and influence people across the world. I want the world to connect with my Ghanaian and African heritage instead”, Black Prophet said on Ahomka Radio UK.

“Music is a calling and if you don’t treat it well, it will leave you”, he also added. He was on the radio interview live on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Black Prophet is one of the highly respected Ghanaian Reggae Singers who has been actively recording and performing for over 2 decades. His latest album “Stories of Life” released in the latter part of 2016 was produced by Jamaican Legendary Saxophonist cum Producer, Dean Fraser.

“Stories Of Life” album by Black Prophet was among the albums considered by the Recording Academy (Grammys) for the “Best Reggae Album” category but narrowly couldn’t make it to the final list of nominees. The strictly Roots Reggae and live produced album featured Tarrus Riley and Duane Stephenson. The album is still selling on major international music stores including iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, CD Baby, just to name a few.

Black Prophet is would be leaving the U.K. soon to Germany for at least 3 concerts and proceed to Austria and other European countries for other concerts.

His Manager, Carmen, who runs instagram account @MissRootie posted on her page (below) a while ago.
