Ghanaian reggae/dancehall sensation, Shatta Wale has landed himself in a serious feud with Nigerians particularly lovers of Starboy Wizkid for his contradictory comments. His comments about the Nigerian star has attracted lots of assaults from the citizens of Nigeria which Shatta is squarely embracing the repercussions of his comments.

Here’s how the feud started;

“I don’t consider Nigerian superstar, Wizkid as a “superstar”. Folks should stop rating him high.

“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artist”.

The point of the matter is, there’s a conflict of interest propelling both acts to think their the best African acts in their individual respective rights. In Shatta Wale’s assertion, he doesn’t see why Wizkid should propagate himself as the smartest African artist making money from his career as a musician when he (Shatta Wale) still reigns. He further stated that he does not see Wizkid as one, although some Ghanaian acts may rate him in higher esteem.

However, Shatta Wale feels if there’s one smartest African artiste making more money as a musician, he deserves the crown.

The Wild Alert Lyrical Entertainer (Wale) is best known for hammering and been loud on issues pertaining to the growth of our Ghanaian music industry. On that note he called on Ghanaian artists to allow mutual respect to unite them, support each other and stop rating Nigerian artists high above themselves.

Most of my colleagues see me as a braggadocio but to me, i frequently talk about my wealth in order to motivate Ghanaian artists and to encourage them to strive to attain higher heights like some foreign artists have done, he ended.
