DJ Black Coffee has apologized for slapping AKA’s road manager, Tshiamo Letshwene.
The incident which led to the slap took place at the DStv iRock Music Festival in Limpopo on Saturday.
According to AKA’s tweets, the 28-year-old rapper claimed that while his band was doing sound checks, Black Coffee, 40, walked on stage, cut their music and slapped his road manager.
The BET award-winning DJ stopped a performance at the Kong Nightclub on Sunday evening to say he was sorry for slapping Tshiamo.
Black Coffee said: “What I would like to say to you right now is that I am sorry. I truly, truly apologize. I am sorry, I am not that guy.”

Following the incident of his manager being slapped, AKA refused to perform at the DStv iRock Music Festival event and left. He later took to Twitter to share his side of the story.
He tweeted:
The media likes to portray me as an aggressive person ….. Please explain to me what part of Black Coffee smacking my road manager is ok?
What would you have preferred?? For me to act crazy? …. Nah. I’m in a good place. I decided leaving was the best thing to do.
It is yet to be known if he’ll accept Black Coffee’s apology or not.
