Dakore Egbuson-Akande has starred in some of our favourite Nollywood movies including Box Office hits Fifty, Isoken, and Chief Daddy
While we all know about her amazing talent as an award-winning actress, not many are aware of her other talent.
In announcing the lineup for the Hope for Africa Concert, we were informed that Dakore would be making a special appearance. But as the concert wound to a close with Flavour’s soulful performance, we were surprised with one last, unexpected performance – Dakore’s!
We honestly didn’t know Dakore was also a singer. She sang ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’ by Bob Marley, and honestly, it was the perfect close to the three-hour virtual concert.
The Hope for Africa Concert held on Sunday, May 31 to raise funds for protective equipment and other medical equipment for healthcare workers fighting on the frontlines against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The star studded pan-African lineup was organised by One Africa Global Foundation in partnership with MultiChoice Africa to raise funds for personal protective equipment for healthcare workers working in the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19.
The Hope for Africa Concert featured Nigerian artistes like Tiwa Savage, Davido, Falz, Tekno, Flavour, Ayanfe, Cobhams Asuquo, Praiz, Waje, Masterkraft, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and lots of other African stars.
