The stars came out to play at the Lagos premiere of Oceans 8 last night. The event’s theme was “Met Gala” and the attendees took the night’s theme to heart.

On 234Star’s best dressed list we bring you 8 looks that quite literally swept us away at the premiere which took place at FilmHouse Cinema, Lekki.

1. Osas Ighodaro

The winner has to be Osas because boy did she snap!

Her dress was designed by Itunu Onoara Bamidele and Ajayi Gideon Seun. Everything about the look – from the hair to the makeup and the dress itself was well thought out.

Safe to say that Osas is back to reclaim her throne.

2. Ini Dima-Okojie

With a dress by Fablane by Derin and headpiece by Enemaya, it’s no wonder that she has fans in the comment section of her Instagram exclaiming that “This is the best gown I have seen this year! Hands down u look amazing!”

We couldn’t agree more.

3. Jemima Osunde

MTV Shuga breakout star Jemima wore a gorgeous dress by Zhenas Closet, a headpiece by Yetunde Tonade and was styled by Style Pundit.

A literal ray of sunshine!

4. Vimbai Mutinhiri

Vimbai was dropdead gorgeous in this dress by South African designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee.

5. Toke Makinwa

I mean if anyone is going to pull off a MET Gala theme with ease it has to be Toke and nope, she did not disappoint us.

Her dress was by Orapeleng Modutle Style Avenue all the way from South Africa, headpiece from Bespoke Accessories By Urez and styled by Harvella.

6. Shaffy Bello

Because what is a MET Gala theme without our own Sarah Jessica Parker?

Shaffy was styled by Yolanda Okereke with a hair piece by Zubby Definition and outfit by Enthyst Fashion Klinik.

7. Deola Adebiyi

Blogger Deola Adebiyi pulled out all the stops for her look last night. Not only was her all-knit look very original, it was perfectly done.

She channeled an earthen goddess in a dress and veil by Studio IMo, topped up with a halo-like headpiece. Definitely a fave!

8. Taje Prest

This look would win even at the real Met Ball. Taje channeled Japanese queen, Himiko in the lemon green number by Makioba. The pair of wings which served as her headpiece, the tasseled purse – everything was perfectly done.
