It appears that the Facebook account of controversial musician and comedian A Plus has been taken down.

A-Plus was included in tribal arguments with some Facebook users, saying Ewes are jealous of Akans.

He wrote: “When I post something on Facebook, 90 percent of the people who come to insult me instead of disagreeing or sharing their opinion have Ewe names. Are people using Ewe name to misbehave on Facebook? Is there an increase in the kind of Ewes people, who believed it when Rawlings gave them the impression that Ewes and Akans are enemies even though he was married to an Ashanti and named his daughter after the greatest Ashanti queen, Yaa Asanyewaa? Or they are just no being brought up well?”

Perhaps the comment got people reporting him on Facebook, which has seen his account being inactive at the moment.

Facebook recently updated its policies and community guidelines on contents regarding nudity, hate speech, self-harm, dangerous organisations, bullying and harassment, sexual violence and exploitation, criminal activity, violence and graphic.

Facebook’s definition of hate speech, for example, covers content that directly attacks people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, sex, gender or gender identity, or serious disabilities or diseases.
