The official funeral fabrics for the late Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng widely identified as Ebony Reigns was unveiled yesterday at a press conference at the West Hills Mall, Kasoa yesterday (17/3/2018).  The conference saw the management and family of the late reggae/dancehall act as well as reps from prominent Ghanaian textile company GTP who updated the general public together with the media about the tenacity of presenting the textiles in the public-eye ahead of the burial.

According to Lilian, a distributer and rep for GTP she avowed that the material for the funeral was designed in two folds; red & black, blue & black as one material using eye symbol on it with two colors, signifying ‘Maame Hw3’ while the other white; Aseda with a pictogram of broom telling ‘Unity’ as the thanksgiving cloth. She further stated that the cloth is here to stay and it’s not only meant for the funeral adding that the notion behind ‘Maame Hw3 & Aseda’ textile is for the love of Ebony’s music, fans not forgetting her family. Ghc 15 is the cost per yard. The textile will be made obtainable to all GTP fabric outlets countrywide for sale to the general public. Look out for the GTP hallmark on it for its originality, she added.

According to the CEO of RuffTown Records Bullet, media accreditation and rock-solid security operation will be guaranteed at the square of the state house during the funeral service. Wrapping up, the father of Ebony (late) Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng and Bullet expressed their gratitude to the media, the general public and GTP for their support approving 24/3/2018 as the certified date for burial of their treasured daughter/business partner. It is true the late Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng (Ebony) is no more but her legacy rules forever through GTP fabrics.
