Godwin Asediba Bids Farewell to Media General After Three Years of Service

Award-winning journalist Godwin Asediba has announced his departure from Media General, bringing to a close a significant chapter in his professional career spanning three years with the media conglomerate.

In a press statement released on Friday, December 26, 2025, Godwin expressed deep gratitude to Media General and its subsidiaries — TV3, 3FM, and 3news.com,  where he served as an investigative journalist, producer, and news anchor.

Describing the period as “profoundly rewarding and defining,” Asediba said his time at Media General was instrumental in shaping his growth as a journalist and storyteller. He credited the organisation for providing him with opportunities to learn, be challenged, and find his voice in a fast-paced, purpose-driven newsroom.

“The trust placed in me, the opportunities to tell meaningful stories, and the exposure to a dynamic newsroom shaped me in ways that will remain with me for life,” he noted.

Godwin further extended special appreciation to management, editors, producers, and colleagues, acknowledging their guidance, support, and belief in his work. He described working alongside professionals committed to truth, impact, and public service as both a privilege and an education that strengthened his craft and deepened his sense of responsibility as a journalist.
