The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, AkwasiAgyeman has applauded the organizers of the Tourism Booster seminar scheduled for Kumasi, Elmina and Accra for the initiative which he described as important for the development of the tourism sector in Ghana. MrAgyeman made the statement when the organizers paid a courtesy call on him to formally invite him to the event.
MrAgyeman noted that such interventions are crucial to ensure that the tourism sector in Ghana yields its full potential to national development. He also urged players in the sector to patronize the seminar and commended the Public Affaris Department of the United States Embassy for their support for the seminar which will involve two speaker specialists from the United States.
The Managing Director of Nasoa Services Nana Seiwaa Osbourne assured the C.EO of her team’s commitment to ensuring that the seminar is of immense benefit to the industry. She indicated that the seminar is aimed at providing cutting edge experiences and insights to tourism stakeholders to ensure that the full potentials of the tourism sector in Ghana are adequately exploited. She added that Nasoa Services intends to make the Tourism Booster an annual event to provide tailor made programmes for the tourism sector. Nana Serwaa Osbourne was accompanied by other members of the Nasoa Services team, Nana AfuaSarpong and Ahuma Bosco Ocansey.
Nasoa Services a tourism and event management company is organizing the Tourism Booster which takes place in Kumasi at the Golden Tulip Hotel on April 24, in Elmina at the Coconut Groove Hotel on April 26 and in Accra at the African Regent Hotel on April 28. The seminar will feature two speaker specialists, Yuri Horowitz and Anna Barrera from the United States of America who will take the participants through what it takes to develop your tourism brand and monetize the brand.
Yuri Horowitz is a tourism development professional with experience in destination planning, development and management as well as training stakeholders throughout the tourism value chain. Anna Barrera is a sustainable tourism and hospitality consultant with professional experience in strategic planning, product development, marketing and capacity building. She has worked with a variety of clients in both the public and private sector.
Other speakers at the seminar will be AkunuDake, the former Chairman of the Ghana Tourism Authority Board; Nana KwekuNduom of Group Nduom and Oscar Doe, CEO of Eurocar Rentals.
The seminar is under the theme “Enhancing the Capacity of Operators in the Hospitality Industry in Ghana for Increased Tourism Inflows.” It is organized by Nasoa Services in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ghana Tourism Federation, the Ghana Tourism Authority with support from the Public Affairs Department of the United States of America.
