Hailed as the “Future of Ghana Reggae Music”, Aheto Cudjoe Silas known in the reggae dancehall industry as Jahwyz in an interview on Agboo Fm with Blakk Senses last weekend, the Bass Awards 2014 “Discovery of the Year” Nominee sent a word of wisdom to the media especially the Ghanaian media to kindly showcase the greatness of the rastaman and stop projecting Rastafarians as the very bad nuts in the society. Jahwyz stressed that; looking at the media landscape in Ghana especially the movie industry, the possibility of the Rastaman or the dreadlock person to play the negative role is very high.
Adding that, it’s high time the media stop all the negative projections of the rastaman in all aspects in the media. Sighting himself as an example, He narrated that; he was once rejected by the mother of a lady he loved because he is a Rastaman plus other discrimination he has faced in the past which he believes other rastas are still facing. “This makes me feel the society always look down on Rasta”. He added.
