Ghana Lifestyle Walk and Free Medical Screening receives massive participation

The organisers of the maiden edition of the Ghana Lifestyle Awards on February 9th, 2019 organised a health walk and free medical screening dubbed “Ghana Lifestyle Walk” for those in the fashion and lifestyle industry in Tamale.

The activity is one of several activities earmarked to celebrate individuals and companies in the fashion and lifestyle industry who have contributed immensely towards the socio-economic development of Ghana.

Speaking to the media on the benefits of the health walk, Mr. Arnold Mashud, The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Lifestyle Awards, said “…this is not just a walk and free medical screening but it also offers a common platform for individuals and organisations to get to know each other and network to do business”. Business is about connection, networking and collaboration, he added.

The health walk and free medical screening brought together keep fit clubs, models, fashion designers, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artistes, event service providers, spoken word artistes(poets) and many others at the Tamale Jubilee Park.

Marie Stopes International partnered with the organisers to provide free medical screening to hundreds of participants. The Marketing Manager of the Tamale Branch of Marie Stopes International, Mr. Latif also educated participants on condom use and gave out free condoms.

Mr. Arnold Mashud, however called on individuals and the corporate bodies to support the Ghana Lifestyle Awards initiative. Nomination is currently ongoing and interested individuals can file through www.ghanalifestyleawards.com/nomination.
