Born as Richard Ankamah in the Ashanti Region (Ghana), Patolyn started his primary school education at Asokore Mampong in Kumasi and that is where he also completed Junior High School. He had his Senior High School education at Bonwire SHS in (Kumasi). Coming up Patolyn looks to Samini and Sarkodie as his key musical inspirations. Patolyn’s desire to pursue music professionally started when he was in Junior High School. He has released a couple of singles and also took part in Sarkodie’s Biibiba challenge which got him lots of buzz in Ghana and beyond. He also got the chance to share the stage with Samini at Saminifest 2018 which also got him some recognition.
