Gerry Gee returns to Northern radio, plays now on Angel FM in Tamale

Zakaria Luqman popularly know in the media as Gerry Gee (De General) is back to radio in the north. Gerry Gee as is popularly known, started his radio career in 2013 with Winners 98.5mhz in Techiman. He had after that worked at Fiila FM in Tamale from 2014-2015. He also worked at Gaskiya FM in Techiman. In all these stations, he exhibited his love for music from the north by dedicating his program dubbed “Let’s Go North” for only northern content in Gaskiya FM, Techiman.

He left Metro FM 90.5mhz, now known as Ahomka FM in Sunyani in September 2017 when there was change of ownership. He was the head of sports, after-drive host and also served as Mid-morning and Drive host. He was also the host of the entertainment show “Sunset Entertainment” from January 2017 which was one of the most patronized shows.  He is the head of SUNSET ENTERTAINMENT, an event organizing firm which was the organizers of one of the biggest shows in Brong Ahafo “SALLAFEST” which saw performance from MzVee, Kuami Eugene and KiDi for three whole days in Techiman, Kintampo and Wenchi.They are the current organizers of the launch of Nbangba Hotel which is seeing the VGMA new artist of the year Fancy Gadam on 3rd February 2018.

He also doubles as an MC who in recent times handled lots of events including RUSH ENERGY MEETS CHOCO MALT which Fancy and Rude boy Ranking were the artist on bail, weddings, birthday parties and many more.

Having toured radio in southern part of Ghana, he has finally decided to head back home at the newly established Angel FM 96.9 MHZ. He will kick start the Drive time dubbed SUNSET DRIVE come 1st of February 2018 from 3PM-6PM daily.

An approach with him to for confirmation of whether he is really joining the ABN (ANGEL BROADCASTING NETWORK) Angel Fm in Tamale, he said it was very true and is very happy and willing to give in his all to project the image of the station to the highest level and he himself. He also confirmed that this will be his second stint with radio in Tamale  so it won’t be that difficult to penetrate into the system as he also knows a little about the people of Northern Region.
