From a production assistant at Tyler Perry Studios, to a nominee for Best Motion Picture of the Year as a producer at the Ghana Movie Awards, Esi Yamoah is on a roll. Last year, Esi took a leap of faith and worked on her first feature film as producer, “Gold Coast Lounge,” in Accra, Ghana. This is Esi’s first nomination as a producer.
“ I was excited to work on the project! The story was a breath of fresh air and had a strong message.”
“Gold Coast Lounge” has racked up 18 nominations at the Ghana Movie Awards and is scheduled to hit cinemas on January 3rd, 2020 in Accra, Ghana at the Accra Mall and on the 4th at West Hills Mall.

The cast includes Alphonse Menyo, Adjetey Anang, Raquel Ammah, Zynnell Zuh, Pascal Aka, Cina Soul Akofa Edjeani, and Gideon Boakye.
“I hope that I encourage more people from the African Diaspora to not just return back to Ghana but to invest in our entertainment industry. Together, we can take Ghana to the next level.”
