A statement released by his children via his official twitter page read:“With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated,” the statement read.
The 89 year old was the third man to play James Bond, taking on the role in the 70’s and 80’s in movies such as ‘Octopussy’, ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’ and ‘Moonraker’.
He will be buried at a private funeral in Monaco, according to his stated wishes.
