It seems the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) PRO, Mawuli Ekpe popularly called Abro is not in support with the Film Village project these Kumawood actors are championing and making it a priority as the way to resurrect the movie industry.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Amoako on Ashh 101.1 mHz Ezone, the Film Producers Association of Ghana PRO said, personally he thinks the Film Village is not what the industry needs now but rather the government should pass all the legislations governing the creative arts to enhance and protect the industry.
Abro said per the Film Village video he has seen on youtube, it will take time to build one here because a lot goes in the construction of a film village.
“I am into construction so I know the film village is a big project and will take quite some time to build so I’ll prefer government pass all the necessary laws that will enable our industry to thrive.”
He added that successive governments have not given the needed attention to the creative arts industry and it is about time this government gave the needed attention to the creative arts industry because if can generate a lot of money and also create more jobs for the country.
Abro assured all FIPAG members of the Association organizing itself very well this time round and urged all member to support them.
